A group of singers aided by the Leverburgh lifeboat crew are holding a special concert tonight (Fri) for their rescuers.

The Stornoway group called Eight were onboard a rigid inflatable boat which broke down leaving in gale force 7 winds last July

The helmsman got the craft back to the pontoon at Taransay and waited for the lifeboat which took the passengers back to Leverburgh.

The concert is being in Leverburgh Village Hall this Friday evening. The concert has been organised by musical group "EIGHT", as a thank-you to all at Leverburgh RNLI Lifeboat Station for rescuing them off Taransay last year. Press release for the shout in question copied below.
