Barra RNLI lifeboat went to the aid of a stricken fishing boat on Saturday night.
The Castlebay-registered trawler, MFV New Dawn, got into trouble with a fouled propeller a few miles east of Barra.
The lifeboat launched around 8.25pm and was due to tow her towards Northbay.
