The annual Lewis Provincial Mòd - Mòd Ionadail Leòdhais - is taking place in Stornoway next week.

 

The event kicks off on Tuesday afternoon with the literary prize-giving ceremony in the Caladh Inn.

 

Wednesday sees the drama, oral and traditional singing competitions being staged.

 

The following morning, solo singing competitors will take to the stage followed by folk groups in the afternoon.

 

The mòd draws to a close on Friday with instrumental, choir competitions and cèilidh groups during the day, concluding with the prize-winners concert in the Nicolson Institute at 7pm.

 

Mod programmes and tickets are available from the An Comunn Gàidhealach office in James Street.
