There were three Lewis and Harris Darts League games, sponsored by Neil MacKay and Co,  played last week.

The Sparrows played host to Sea Angling B on the Thursday evening, writes John Norman Murray, and managed a 6 - 2 win.

The Sea Angling's Dave and Willie beat Scott and Amanda but Momby, Finlay and Calum Ruddy made it 5 - 2 to the Sparrows after the singles by beating Ted, Babz and Wakey. Momby, Amanda and Finlay increased the Sparrows lead by beating Babz, Wakey and Ted in the triples.

Both the doubles’ games also went to the Sparrows with Momby and Finlay beating Willie and Dave and Calum Ruddy and Scott beating Babz and Wakey.

Friday evening saw the Star host Sea Angling A and managed to hold a 4 - 4 draw against the league leaders. Alex Keiler opened the scoring for the A team beating Mark before Jamie levelled the score beating Rory, assisted with a 180 in the second leg.

It was Rory who went on to win leg 2 with a 90 checkout. Jimmy put the Star 1 up in the third singles game beating Jim 3 - 1 before Murdo Alex and Willie Reid pulled the points back and put the A team in front by a point after beating Boozer and Don.

The Star made it 3 - 3 after substitute Sean, Jamie and Jimmy beat Murdo Alex, Alex Keiler and Willie Reid in the Triples leaving it all to play for in the two remaining Doubles games.

The first one had second substitute Gordon and Jamie for the Star beat the A team's substitute Tesco Sam and Jim.

The final game had Murdo Alex and Alex Keiler level the match result for the A team by beating Jimmy and Mark. Perhaps the A team's captain and second substitute Alex

Painter should have come off the bench during the triples, just to keep his game alive.

Ranger's Club A also beat the Golf Club 6 - 2, but I've no details apart from the score and the match between the Carlton and Rangers Club B was postponed.
