Nine teams are competeting in this year's Lewis and Harris darts league which starts on Friday.

The Summer Open Singles and Doubles takes place on the following day.

Looking  back over last season it was good to see more players coming  along to the singles competitions, a very successful festival for the 11th year.

Scotland international captain, and top 10 BDO darts player, Ross Montgomery, attended our prize giving event.

Over the summer, we held a singles league for players wanting to keep the arrows going. After months, Finlay Maciver came out on  top beating Murdo Alex Macleod in the final.

There has also been a new committee set to try bring darts forward in our islands and support all the local clubs.

Alex Keller has agreed to be our chair person alongside Don Macleod who was awarded the Collie Cup for his outstanding service to local darts over the year.
