All the fun at the Lewis Carnival

Crowds enjoyed the annual carnival held in Stornoway.
Two pipebands led a parade of colourful floats plus children and adults in fancy dress through the town centre.
The noisy procession took nearly an hour to cover the mile distance into the town centre where fete stalls, children activities and a funfair continued until around 4.30pm.
Cash from a street collection and stalls will be distributed to local charities and good causes.
