Lochs FC are the Lewis and Harris league champions after dominating the title decider match tonight (Mon).

The Maroons - managed by player/ manager David Macmillan - beat an underperforming Ness side with a resounding 4-1 final score at Creagan Dubh at Leurbost.

Robert Mackenzie and Jim O' Donnell both scored twice for the home side.

Valiant efforts from the Ness goalie, Donald Macsween, prevented the ball getting through more. The visitors' only goal came from Jack Dunlop.

The victory comes 20 years after Lochs first won the league, also against Ness at Creagan Dubh.

The captain of that team, Calum Murdo Mackenzie, presented the trophy to this season's skipper, Andy Murray.

Point FC - which would have clinched the title if Lochs lost -  are runners-up.
