A multi agency event will take place in Stornoway next week aimed at bringing together employers and training providers who are involved in supporting young people in the learning choices they make.

It is hoped that delegates of the conference will be given the opportunity to create partnerships and build on their own knowledge of services, resources and facilities available to them and to the client group they support.

The event will also play a significant part in informing partnership agencies of the roles and responsibilities of the 16+ Learning Choices Agenda.

Sarah Morrison, 16+ Learning Choices Co-ordinator explained: “This is an excellent opportunity for key stakeholders to come together, share ideas and practise and forge new contacts.

“I felt there was a need for such an event to provide information on the work other groups with similar remits are doing and how best these groups can co-operate.

“I am very much looking forward to everyone coming together and creating important partnership links which will enable us to move forward with the 16+ Agenda for the benefit of the young people we are working with.”
