Latest ferry disruptions       5/10/14

With 70 mph winds forecast, the MV Clansman is stormbound in Oban and will not sail to Barra or South Uist today. It means Monday’s ferries from these islands are also cancelled. The next service out of South Uist to the mainland is not until Wednesday.

All sailings on the Eriskay to Barra inter-island sea route are cancelled. The ferry will only sail today (Mon) if weather permits.

The afternoon sailing on the Sound of Harris crossing is cancelled. Instead, the MV Loch Portain departed Berneray for Leverburgh at 11.30am. The Monday morning run is may be cancelled or delayed at short notice.

Normal timetables were changed for the MV Hebrides and MV Isle of Lewis which set off hours earlier than usual to race ahead of violent winds expected to funnel up the Minch.
