The last native of St Kilda has died, aged 93 years.
Rachel Johnson (nee Gilles) was born at number 13 on the island in July 1922.
She was eight years old when St Kilda was evacuated.
Her family settled in Larachbeg, by Lochaline, Argyll.
She married an Argyll lad called Ronnie Johnston and later the couple moved to Glasgow where they raised their two sons.
In recent years Mrs Johnson lived in a Clydebank nursing home.
