The biggest cruise ship to visit the Stornoway this season brought 1,800 passengers to Lewis.

Too large to berth in the harbour the 70,000 tonne MV Oriana anchored outside the Arnish lighthouse.

A feet of tenders ferried passengers shore where many boarded coaches for sightseeing trips around the island.

Tours to the Callanish Stones were popular while many also went for strolls around the Lews Castle Grounds.

The town centre was bustling with the influx of passengers.

The P&O liner later sailed for Iceland.
