A prayer team from South Korea are in Stornoway on a mission to help bring continued success for Scotland's national church.
On Wednesday at Martin's Memorial Church of Scotland, 11 members of the Korean Prayer Mission – from the South Korean Church – began a five day prayer mission in the town as an expression of deep gratitude for the work of UK missionaries who established Christianity there in the 19th Century.

"In the centenary year of the death of John Ross, we welcome Korean Christians to Scotland to pray for our church and country."
The team are staying in Martin's Memorial Church to allow them to pray from midnight until 5am, with locals from the congregation planning to join them.
300 prayer missionaries are at 30 locations throughout the UK.
This is the first time they have been dispatched to Scotland in the four years since the prayer operation began.
South Korea currently provides the world's second largest number of Christian missionaries, behind the United States. 29% of the population are Christians.
