Knuckleduster man in court

A 55-year-old man caught with a knuckle-duster in Stornoway town centre on Saturday night has appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

Graham Lyon of Garden Road, Stornoway, pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon.

Honorary sheriff Iain Macleod called for background reports and deferred sentence to next month.
