Rev David Kirk of Uist became the latest student to be licensed for the Free Church
ministry.
The 45-year-old has been an integral part of the South Uist and Benbecula congregation
for the past decade, having served as an elder and taking countless services during
thei recent vacancy.
Mr Kirk, who is also set to complete his doctorate at Highland Theological College
in Dingwall later this year, is now eligible for a call to vacant congregations.
Mr Kirk is married to Rachel, and they have two children, Gwennan and Cian.
Before his move to South Uist he was a transport consultant in his native Wales for
13 years.
