Sir,
I whole heartedly agree with all the contents of Councillor Crichton's letter
of 6th August.
I would add that we must not forget the safety record of Cal Mac ferries to the islands
and the crews who are familiar with these waters.
A new company would give us a good service for six months and then, when their feet
are firmly under the table, cut back.
I agree that Cal Mac needs improving, but please
lets keep the company who have served these islands safely and professionally over
these last decades.
