Kara Hanlon is the first Western Isles competitor to win gold at the NatWest Island Games in Sweden.

The 20-year-old from Stornoway retains the title she won in 2015.

She clinched the spot with a time of 31.62 seconds - almost half a second ahead of second place.

Kara plans to fly home to Scotland tomorrow to take part in another swimming competition.
