A job centre outreach worker for Uist is now based in the Balivanich council office.
Carol Dutch, Jobcentre Plus district manager for the north of Scotland, said: “I am personally committed to maintaining a high standard of service across our local communities and welcome the opportunity to move services to Benbecula.
This provides a “one stop shop” where customers can access our services jointly alongside those of our partners.”
