Jeremy Corbyn is scheduling an August trip to the Western Isles which the Labour
Party eye as a winable seat.
The SNP lost votes in June’s general election when isles’ MP Angus MacNeil suffered
a reduced majority of just over one thousand votes.
Labour reckons it can capitalise on the downward trend particularly if a second election
is called in the autumn.
It aims for a comeback in Scottish politics having been reduced to only one MP in
2015 general election and hammered in the May council elections.
