A Lewis man has been jailed for 10 months over a spate of offences.
At Stornoway Sheriff Court, Alasdair Maciver admitted assaulting a man last month. He repeatedly punched him on the face and body at the Acres hostel in Stornoway. While. Maciver was on bail at the time.
On Valentines Day, he stole a bottle of perfume from a Stornoway chemist’s shop.
The previous week he committed two offences after being released from police custody on a bail undertaking.
Maciver also uttered threats of violence and punched a window when he stayed at the Acres hostel in Stornoway in August last year.
