A man who sexually assaulted two women has been registered as a sex offender.

 

Roderick Morrison of 29 Scalpay, Harris, was sentenced over two charges at Stornoway Sheriff Court today.

 

The 69-year-old accepted he touched a woman’s private parts through her clothing while on a public bus service on two consecutive days in June this year.

 

He also admitted pushing another female backwards and pressing his body against hers in August.

 

 

Islander registered as sex offender

Sheriff David Sutherland placed Morrison on supervision for the next three years.

 

He will be registered as a sex offender over that period.

 

He instructed him to pay £1,000 compensation, split between his two victims.

 

In addition, Morrison has been banned from drinking alcohol until 2017.
