A man who was concerned in the supply of illegal drugs has received community service.

David Maclean, 30, of 44 Kenneth Street, Stornoway, admitted two related charges when he appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to supplying Ecstasy as well as cannabis resin at Gead Gorm, Carloway, Lewis.

Sheriff John Halley imposed a community payback order and instructed him to undertake 300 hours of unpaid community service work as an alternative to custody.
