All tickets have been snapped up for the Iolaire community remembrance event.
The civic event will mark the 100 year anniversary of the sinking of the HMY Iolaire.
Over 200 men perished when the Admalitry yacht hit rocks on the approach to Stornoway harbour on 1 January 2019.
Military and school band performances, poetry readings and songs, drama and spiritual elements will be included in the event in Lewis Sports Centre on New Year’s Eve.
Capacity was limited to 720 seats for the free event.
Tickets were all reserved 20 minutes after bookings opened at 9am this morning.
Norman A MacDonald, chairman of the Iolaire working group, said: “As we anticipated, the demand for tickets was very high indeed and we are very pleased by the level of interest shown by the local community and further afield.
“Demand for tickets far outstripped availability and we are exploring options to ensure as many people as possible can participate on the night.”
