Many hundreds of mourners attended the funeral service of tragic Inverness teenager Scott Campbell.

The 16-year-old who was found dead in the open in Inverness the previous weekend was buried on Lewis on Friday afternoon.

Tragically, the  apprentice mechanic was so close to his own home in Culduthel Mains Circle. It is thought Scott succumbed to the cold after walking home after a night out.

The apprentice mechanic had failed to return home after going to a party in the Inshes area of the Highland capital on Friday night.

Scott grew up in North Dell, Ness. He moved with his parents Angus and Katherine and younger sisters Sarah and Emma to Inverness about five years ago.

The funeral service took place at Cross Church of Scotland with interment at Habost Cemetery.
