Patients who normally attend GP surgeries in Borve and Habost on the Isle of Lewis are being asked to be aware of internet disruption to these surgeries.

As there is no access to electronic patient information or the electronic prescribing system from these sites, alternative measures have been put in place to allow the appointments and prescribing systems to continue as normal.

While patients may, in some cases, be offered appointments at an alternative surgery or asked to collect their prescription from a different location, NHS Western Isles has tried to keep any disruption to a minimum and apologises for any inconvenience.

NHS Western Isles stressed that patients should continue to use the normal telephone numbers to contact the surgeries in the first instance.

Connected Communities and the IT department within NHS Western Isles are working to resolve these problems as soon as possible.
