Safety hazard in toddlers’ goodie bags 8/6/14
A potential safety hazard to infants was contained in goodie bags handed out at a
toddlers’ reading roadshow.
Now the sharp pin badges covered in a plastic film which could be easily taken off
by one-year-olds have been removed from the bags - which also contained lots of leaflets,
bumble bee toy and a book - in case they could harm children.
A Comhairle spokesman said: “Pin badges, sealed in plastic containers, were in the
information packs handed out to parents at the Play Talk Read bus.
“The badges have now been removed. The Comhairle would reassure parents that the
bus is a safe and enjoyable educational resource.”
