Independence referendum talks 14/7/14
Award winning journalist Lesley Riddoch together with Angus MacNeil MP are holding public talks in the Western Isles this week.
Angus MacNeil MP said: “Lesley Riddoch’s book ‘Blossom’ puts our lives and society into quite an interesting context.
“Anybody who reads the book or hears Lesley’s talk will be quite invigorated about the possibilities we have in our hands as we approach the referendum, especially as the rest of the world is watching and wondering what kind of people the Scots are.”
The MP added: “Many people across the country are attending meetings and are being energised with the possibilities for improvement. In many ways we owe it not just to ourselves, but to future generations, to make sure we keep democratic decision making over our country in our own hands.
“I would encourage anybody who is undecided to come along and listen to the ‘Blossom with Yes’ talks which will be held in four locations in the islands – Bu Chòir Dhuinn.”
