The Met Office has issued a yellow "be aware" alert of ice for the Western Isles.
It warned: "Frost will develop widely after dark on Wednesday evening and last well into Thursday morning.
"With some wintry showers continuing, please be aware this will lead to a risk of icy stretches on untreated surfaces, as well as some mainly slight accumulations of snow."
