Balallan Community Hub Manager

Full Time 35 hours per week

Salary £24,000/Year

This post is funded by Outer Hebrides LEADER and Muaitheabhal Community Wind Farm Trust and is a nine month fixed term post. However it is anticipated that this post will continue beyond this date subject to future funding being secured.

Kinloch Historical Society is looking to recruit an energetic and self-motivated individual with strong management and organisational skills, to manage the centre and take forward innovative and sustainable community development and heritage projects on behalf of the society.

The successful candidate will work with Kinloch Historical Society and the wider community, to develop and implement a growth plan for the Society, which takes account of opportunities to enhance the socio-economic, cultural, heritage and environmental welfare of the local area.

The longer term sustainability of Kinloch Historical Society will also be a key objective as community capacity develops.

The applicant will have a good understanding of the issues affecting fragile rural areas and be IT literate.

A relevant qualification or prior experience in community-led development would be advantageous as would a knowledge and affinity for the locality.

The ability to work on your own initiative and access to own transport are essential.
