Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is drawing up a new five-year local housing strategy.
A consultation hopes to gather islanders’ views on the priorities the council should
The strategy covers up to 2022 and will be the sole local authority strategic document
for housing in the area.
It will detail the housing outcomes, objectives and actions that the Comhairle and
its local partners believe are the most appropriate to tackle the challenges currently
facing the Outer Hebrides’ distinctive local housing system.
Four priority areas being considered at the quality of homes, the supply of housing,
homelessness and independent living.
