A plan to build 44 new homes outside Stornoway is being put forward by the Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP).
The development on agricultural land would be an extension of the Melbost Farm estate opposite Parkend, known locally as Mackenzie Park.
Some 81 houses have been constructed on the farmland in recent years with the latest handful yet to be occupied.
