Hospital disturbance woman is jailed 31/1/14
A woman who caused a disturbance at the Stornoway hospital has sent to prison.
Maureen Mackenzie of Vale House, 44 Kenneth Street, Stornoway, appeared from custody
at Stornoway Sherrif Court on Wednesday, the day after the incident.
The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to striking out with her arms and shouting and swearing
at the accident and emergency department of the Western Isles Hospital.
She also accepted she repeatedly and needlessly phoned the 999 service on 20 November.
Sheriff David Sutherland imposed a 10 month jail sentence.
