What an irony that this came on the eve of the parliamentary debate on Supporting and Strengthening Island Communities.
And quite how this announcement sits with our local SNP councillors, in particular as they pursue their blame game for island depopulation, only they can attempt to explain.
Questions need answered by the SNP about their lack of interest in supporting our island life:
How are those of us living in the islands being empowered by the removal of local knowledge and influence over HIE policies?
Is Alasdair Allan our local MSP going to stand up for his constituents and reverse his government’s decision?
