Heart support group

Exercise sessions for heart patients is the focus of a cardiac patient and carer group meeting today (Wednesday).

The monthly group - organised by Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland - is open to anyone living with a cardiac condition as well as their carers.

Today the group will be at Ionad Stoodie in Point from 2pm till 3.30pm where the NHS Western Isles health promotion team will be delivering exercise sessions for cardiac patients.

Exercises suitable for both indoors and outdoors is the topic to show how taking gentle, manageable exercise can improve heart health.
