Trustee’s of the Harris Tweed Authority Educational Trust, Mr Norman L Macdonald and Cllr. Catriona Stewart are pictured presenting copies of ‘Weaver of a Life in Colour’ to Chrisanna Macleod (centre)from Comhairle nan Eilean’s Education Department and pupils from Tong Primary School.
The trust gifted copies of the book to every primary school and all the public libraries in the Outer Hebrides.
The book was written by Malcolm Campbell.
Chairman of the trust, Norman L Macdonald, said: “The Harris Tweed Authority Educational Trust was established in 2009 to ensure high quality information, educational resources and activities relating to the Harris Tweed story and its unique method of manufacture are offered and can be financially supported.
“This book is primary school age appropriate and as well as telling the story of weaving Harris Tweed cloth, it will also be useful as an art resource for pupils.”
