Two rescued off Harris mountain   10/8/14

A mountain rescue team went to the aid of two climbers who got stuck while exploring peaks around North Harris.

Volunteers from Hebrides Search-and-Rescue, known locally as Heb Sar, were airlifted to their aid by the Stornoway coastguard helicopter around 5pm on Saturday.

Four rescuers were landed near the male and female who were crag fast on a ledge.

They assisted the pair and walked them down the slope of the mountain to the roadside where other Heb Sar members were waiting with vehicles.
