God “isn’t bothered”over Sunday ferries        28/7/14

Sir,

I would like to comment on the hotchpotch of wishful thinking and confirmation bias that was the letter by David Blunt(Rev) - Plague of ferry breakdowns since Sabbath sailings began - 24.07.14.

In the fifth paragraph David Blunt(Rev) writes '
Of even greater importance is the displeasure of the Lord Himself at the flagrant disregard demonstrated by your company in beginning and continuing those services.' but he shows no proof of this just conjecture.

In the sixth paragraph David Blunt(Rev) tries to conflate Sunday with the Fourth Commandment. If he replies to this letter maybe David Blunt(Rev) could tell us where Sunday (1st day) is called a sabbath (or even the seventh day) in the Bible? All he has to do is give book:chapter:verse. (Jude 3: ...and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith...').

The simple fact is that God isn't that bothered about Sunday travel whether by plane, boat, bus or car otherwise He would do something about it. A well known local minister has been fighting against Sunday(1st day) travel since the 1960's and losing every battle. David Blunt(Rev) should get in touch with him and they could analyse all the signs that they have been given and see what conclusions they could draw form it. If David Blunt(Rev) is stuck I will be more than happy to pass on contact details.
