Five candidates to fight Western Isles general election

11 May 2017

Dan McCroskrie (pictured left) is representing the Scottish Conservatives. The 26-year-old works for the Tories in the Scottish Parliament.  He was also a Vote Leave campaign coordinator during the EU referendum.

John Cormack (right) from Glasgow is again standing for the Scottish Christian Party. The 39-year-old runs his own firm and is also a director of a new Christian School in Glasgow. He is a member of an independent Reformed Baptist Church.

The Scottish Lib Dems are putting up James Paterson from Edinburgh.

The main fight will be between Labour stalwart Ealasaid Macdonald and the SNP’s Angus MacNeil.
