Gender recognition law

One cannot help but be deeply disturbed by the shocking laws that continue to be dreamt up by irrational politicians at Holyrood. Their latest scheme, or whatever you wish to call it, is one you just couldn’t possibly make up – even if you tried.

It seems that Nicola Sturgeon, and her crew, now wants to reform gender recognition law to ‘bring it into line with international best practice.’ Confusion indeed. Further confusion follows when we try and fathom out what this exactly means.

Simply put, the Scottish Government wants to give legal recognition to people who regard themselves as neither male or female, whilst at the same time bizarrely offering them the choice to choose their own gender and sexuality. Have they seriously and completely lost the plot? Sane and sensible readers can make their own minds up.

We are told that when the so-called transgender, bi-gender or multi-gender transaction has taken place, for all who are offered them, then these individuals will be able to change their birth certificate to recognise their gender status and use it on official documents such as passports - without having to seek approval from a tribunal of lawyers and doctors.

It is high time politicians at Holyrood got real, before God’s judgement falls on Scotland as severely as it did on Sodom and Gomorrah. God, unlike Holyrood politicians, is not the author of confusion. Neither will He be mocked.

The Bible clearly teaches that God is the one who assigned the sexes: ‘God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.’ (Genesis 1:27). God did not ask Adam or Eve if they were ‘comfortable’ or ‘happy with their assigned sex and neither did He ask them about their ‘sexual orientation’ or ‘sexual ‘preferences.’

The truth is that no individual can ever change their sex – they can only mutilate their body to make it appear as if they’ve changed their sex. You’re always going to be the sex you were born with, no matter how much you try to mask it. You can’t change your DNA and you can’t change your gender.

I’m reminded of President Abraham Lincoln, who once asked a boy: ‘If a dog has four legs, and you call its tail a leg, how many legs does it have?’ The boy answered: ‘It has five legs’ to which Abraham Lincoln replied: ‘Nope, it just has four legs. Calling a tail a leg does not make it a leg.’

Maybe politicians at Holyrood should take a page out of President Lincoln’s numbers book, by returning to primary school for lessons they know nothing about. It is politicians of his character and moral integrity we desperately need at Holyrood, not the pitiful lot who are guilty of initiating these godless sin-sick laws."
