An Atlantic gale is set to sweep over the Western Isles n Wednesday.
Conditions are expected to be worst in the South Uist and Barra, particularly in the afternoon and evening.
Bouts of heavy rain are forecast to give way to showers as the day goes on.
Some ferry services will be disrupted by the southerly wind and swell.
