A southeasterly gale is forecast for the Western Isles.
Wind speeds touching storm force, particularly in the Southern Isles, are likely from Sunday afternoon into Monday.
Rain and thundery showers are expected from a deepening area of low pressure to the west of Scotland.
A heavy swell and rough seas are likely to cause disruption to ferry services.
