The National Gaelic Schools Debate competition kicks off today.
Four debates take place at e-Sgoil in Stornoway at 1pm with a further session this afternoon.
On Wednesday, pupils participate in a second round.
For the first time ever the debates will be available online, livestreamed through e-Sgoil’s You Tube channel.
Sixteen teams from sixteen schools are due to compete with Wallace Academy and Bishopbriggs Academy making a welcome return.
The four teams with the highest points, across the two days, will progress to the final stages which will be held in Glasgow and Edinburgh at the end of this month.
Judges are Christina Walker, Angus MacDonald and Iain Stephen Morrison.
