Freezing fog delayed flight

Thick fog forced the Stornoway to Inverness plane to divert to Aberdeen Airport.

Some 33 travellers were delayed for nearly five hours due to the poor visibility yesterday morning (Mon).

They were bussed from the east coast to the Highland capital, arriving after 2pm.

The low-lying freezing fog conditions disrupted a number of other flights for much of the day at Inverness.
