Firearms offence

An islander who failed to secure store ammunition for his firearm has been fined.

Murdoch Macleod of School Road, Balallan, Lewis, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

The 53-year-old was fined £250.
