Fire crews tackle house fire

Fire crews tackled a fire at a home in South Uist tonight.

Emergency services used water jet and donned breathing sets to extinguish the flames at a property in Lochboisdale.

Lochboisdale and Benbecula crews attended after the alarm was raised around 8.30pm.

All occupants were accounted for and no-one was injured as a result of the incident, said a fire service spokesperson.
