A teenager accused of being involved in a stand-up fight in a village hall dance has appeared in court.

The man has been charged with threatening behaviour by engaging in a fight in Carloway community centre in the early hours of Thursday morning.

He faces a second charge of shouting and swearing, and challenging two police officers to a fight at Stornoway police station.

The man is to stand trial in November after he pleaded not guilty to the allegations at Stornoway Sheriff Court.
