No matter how much Dr Wilson seeks to denigrate the Labour Party's achievement on
child poverty, it does not take away the fact that Labour did reduce fuel poverty
and the CPAG and IFS agree with that and cite a figure of 1.1 million removed from
fuel poverty.
I note that Dr Wilson does not address the matter of the rise to 220,000 of the number
of children falling into child poverty whilst the SNP government pursued its referendum
campaign. Fiddling while Rome burns.
All Comhairle councillors agreed unanimously to back the Living Wage. We needed no
advice from the SNP group. You must take what Cllr Gordon Murray posts on his blog
with a large pinch of salt.
