Raft of ferry cancellations in Western Isles 21/12/13
Most Western Isles ferries are disrupted today due to rough seas and bad weather.
All sailings between Lochboisdale and Mallaig are cancelled.
There has not been a mainland ferry from Oban to Lochboisdale for days and there
may not be another one until next week.
The Loch Bhrusda’s first run across the Sound of Barra was cancelled. The ferry will
attempt to make a sailing but the service remains liable to further disruption.
There are no sailings across the Sound of Harris. The Sunday service may be disrupted.
The Stornoway ferry sailed this morning but her sailings are liable to disruption
and delays at short notice throughout.
The ferry to Tarbert has been cancelled.
The 2pm sailing between Skye and Lochmaddy has been cancelled. Cal Mac is working
on a revised timetable for later.
