Hebrides News

The Clansman’s scheduled return sailing from Oban to Barra is cancelled on Wednesday as the vessel is still stuck in drydock in Greenock awaiting a new propeller and repaired prop shaft.

The Isle of Lewis will operate her normal timetable.

Lochboisdale sailings are also disrupted as the Loti is sent to cover Tiree which is without a ferry following Cal Mac’s second last minute fleet reshuffle within days.

She will carry out a delayed run to Oban on Wednesday but there will not be an return trip. The scheduled service to and from Mallaig is cancelled.

Bookings are being taken for the MV Hebridean Isles repositioning sailing in the afternoon from Skye to South Uist. The Heb Isles is replacing the Loti until further notice. Cal Mac has yet to publish an amended timetable but since she is unable to access Mallaig harbour, Oban will be the destination port.
