Cal Mac warns of bad weather ferry disruptions 2/2/14
A forecast of very rough seas and storm winds means the MV The Lord of the Isles
run to Castlebay and Lochboisdale has been cancelled tomorrow (Mon). The next ferry
will be on Tuesday afternoon.
Shipping operator Caledonian Macbrayne warns the other mainland ferries to the Western
Isles will be disrupted or cancelled.
The MV Clansman will not sail from Stornoway in the morning at least.
The MV Hebrides’ service for Lochmaddy and Tarbert is on amber alert.
The temporary freight vessel MV Hebridean Isles will remain in Stornoway harbour
tonight.
Decisions will be made in the morning whether the inter-island ferries will run.
