The former Stornoway ferry, MV Isle of Lewis, is to stopover in her old home port during a voyage to her annual drydock.

The Isle of Lewis was replaced on the Stornoway-Ullapool route by the new-build MV Loch Seaforth about two years ago.

She is now based in Castlebay for the almost five hour crossing between Barra and Oban.

The Lewis is booked in for a refit in Aberdeen and will call in to Stornoway for a crew change later on Thursday.
